Major Roles


Bryan Floyd (27 years old): Bryan is an attorney at a major Chicago law firm.  A junior associate super-star, he overflows with confidence. After he asks his Assistant State's Attorney boyfriend Tad Strong to help with a bankruptcy investigation, he finds himself needing to clean up the resulting mess.

Bryan is a very important character. He is in a majority of scenes and has a large number of lines.


Rachel Gardner (27 years old): Rachel is a junior associate at the same firm which employs Bryan. Smart, personable, and ambitious, she is nonetheless nervous when she is recruited to help with a complex commercial matter involving bankruptcy. Shortly afterward, Rachel’s world is rocked when her friend and fellow attorney Tad Strong turns up dead. Together with Trevor Hale and Bryan Floyd, Rachel sets out to unravel the mystery behind Tad’s demise.

                Rachel is a very important character. She is in a majority of scenes and has a large number of lines.


Trevor Hale (27 years old):Trevor is a young accountant and Rachel’s boyfriend. Although friendly and intelligent, Trevor is currently stuck at a frustrating, possibly dangerous job. When his friend Tad Strong turns up dead, Trevor puts himself at personal risk to help unravel the mystery behind his demise.

                Trevor is an important character. He appears in about a third of the scenes and has a moderate number of lines.


Sterling Deminici (50 years old):Sterling is a senior partner at the same firm which employs Bryan and Rachel.  A highly intelligent man, Sterling has perhaps spent a bit too much time at the top of the corporate ladder and is intolerant of junior employees who do not adhere their actions to firm policy. Still, Sterling manages his employees with competence and dedication, and gets involved in solving the mystery behind Tad’s death.            

                Sterling is an important character. He appears in about a third of the scenes and has a moderate number of lines.


Harriett Grayson (55 years old): Harriet is a level-headed former federal prosecutor turned corporate law firm partner. Savvy and straight-forward, she heads up the law firm’s internal investigation into the death of Tad Strong.
                Harriet is an important character. She appears in about a third of the scenes and has a moderate number of lines.


Sergei Semitch (40 years old): Sergei is the CEO of a shady internet technology firm. He is cruel, vulgar, and corrupt, willing blatantly to leverage his powerful connections to get ahead. When his company comes under investigation, he’s prepared to take drastic steps to keep people quiet.

                Sergei is an important character. He appears in about a fifth of the scenes and has a moderate number of lines.


Marcia Davidovits (45 years old): Marcia is general counsel to a shady internet technology firm. She is smart and level-headed, but is willing to put her ethics aside if it means getting ahead in her job.

                Marcia is a supporting character. She appears in about a fifth of the scenes and has relatively small number of lines.


Tad Strong (27 years old): Tad is a young, passionate Assistant State’s Attorney. As Bryan’s long-time boyfriend, Tad gets roped into helping Bryan with his investigation into a shady internet technology firm.

                Tad is a supporting character. He appears in only one scene, but he has a large number of lines in that scene.


Frances Bagley (50 years old): Frances is the State’s Attorney of Cook County. She is smart, savvy, and compassionate.

                Frances is a supporting character. She appears in only one scene, but she has a large number of lines in that scene.

Alderman Curley Fox (40-50 years old): Charles “Curley” Fox is a Chicago politician. Fox is well-spoken, clean-cut, and ingratiating, but there may be more to him then he lets on. Bryan and Rachel visit Alderman Fox to gather information about a lawsuit they’re working on.

                Alderman Fox is a supporting character. He appears in only one scene, but he has a large number of lines in that scene.


Frank O’Connor (50 years old): Frank is a District Commander in the Chicago Police Department. He’s a no-nonsense career cop with a bit of an edge. Bryan and company visit Frank to see if he can help with the investigation into Tad’s death.

                Frank is a supporting character. He appears in only one scene, but he has a large number of lines in that scene.
